Our Vision: Communities where every child becomes a leader in resilience.

Areas of Operation: The program is active in Morombe, Mananjary, Mitsinjo, Fianarantsoa, Antananarivo, Katsepy,  Ankarafantsika and Toliary

These regions face unique geographical and social challenges.

  • In 2022 , Cyclone Batsirai destroyed 439 schools, depriving 10,000 children of education.

International commitments

Convention on the Rights of the Child (1991)

Right to Life (Article 6): The survival and development of every child must be a priority.

Right to Health (Article 24): States must combat diseases, malnutrition, and environmental risks threatening children.

Global Disaster Management Frameworks ✔ Hyogo Framework: Promotes psychosocial support for children after a disaster.
✔ Sendai Framework (2015-2030): Emphasizes the involvement of children and youth in disaster risk reduction (DRR) and promotes inclusivity in the development of risk management policies.

National Laws

1. Law No. 2015-031 (2015):
• Establishes the National Disaster Risk Management Policy.

National Disaster Risk Management Strategy (2020-2030):
• DRR Education: Integrates disaster preparedness into formal and non-formal education.
